Happy New Year to you all with this drawing of a Kagami-mochi (鏡餅):
~ 2 rice cakes, a piece of kelp and topped by a mandarin. It symbolizes the renewal of light and energy at the start of a new year and graced the table of our friends traditional Japanese Shogatu feast.
