About Katherine

Katherine Hartel, is a Toronto based artist who is primarily a painter. A graduate of the BFA program at Queen’s University it is no accident that she experiments with photography, drawing and printmaking to inform her work. She has long been involved in community arts; leading art camps for kids and workshops for adults. Katherine was responsible for the creation of the Healing Mural Project for Street Haven, a women’s shelter in Toronto.
